Eliminate mold, mildew, smoke & even pet odors with OZONE!

Ozone Generators were a real fad a few years ago when they were sold as air cleaners and " mood enhancers"
We are not aware of any scientific evidence that indicates physical changes in the brain actually take place from increased ozone that might affect mood, however, machines about the size of a heavy bread box do attack mold, dust, pollen, animal dander, dust mites, cigarette smoke, bacteria or smells and gases, such as animal urine, insecticides, pesticides, paint, carpet cleaning odors and more. That should certainly improve the mood of any landlord we know.

What's more, the the seemingly magical machine will usually rectify a stinking problem within hours. You probably feel better just knowing that, don't you.

How do es it do that?

Ozone is an unstable, pale-blue form of oxygen with a strong odor, formed by electrical discharge in the air. It is often used as a bleaching agent and purifier for air and water. In fact, ozone can kill up to 99.9 percent of bacteria it comes in contact with.
An ozone  generator produces the necessary electrical activity to convert oxygen into ozone. As the ozone becomes unstable, its extra oxygen molecule attaches to bacteria, killing them.
Many European countries have replaced chorine and irradiation with liquid ozone for food purification. In  2001 the US FDA approved using ozone to kill the bacteria in food as it is being processed and packaged in America.
The ozone layer in the stratosphere protects life by absorbing much of the sun's ultraviolet radiation.

Believe it or not

There are already more than two million ozone generating machines purifying indoor air, improving life for hotel operators, tavern owners and besieged landlords; even eliminating environmental air hazard litigation.

Mold & mildew spores can be dangerous

Some mold spores are highly toxic and dangerous to humans. Like virus and bacteria, mold evolves and new, stronger strains of killer molds are found every year in our environment. Some molds are becoming about as difficult and persistent a problem for property managers as are roaches and termites. However, getting rid of mold and odor doesn't need to be as difficult and expensive as getting rid of insect infestations.
The quickest and most effective way to kill toxic mold is to apply a controlled amount of ozone. You don't even need to move tenants out, or tent your building. On the contrary, humans will experience much cleaner, more invigorating air as the machine does it's job. It will smell like a day on the beach during the time of application and might even put your tenants in a better mood.

An increasing number of insurance companies are realizing tremendous savings, speedy solutions and customer satisfaction whenever these air improvement wizards are used to help alleviate problems associated with smoke and water damage. See Toxic Mold

Small, portable but effective

Ozone generators have the potential to save property managers thousands of dollars every year. It is very portable, easy to clean and, best of all, it's great for our environment.
Healthy, mountain quality air is produced and delivered to the affected area in much the same manner as in nature, where the environment is cleaned by sun, rain and wind. You probably thought it was impossible to bring the benefits of a good thunderstorm inside a home or apartment, but an ozone generator comes close.
The technology is powered by electricity (costing a few cents a day), does not need a supervisor, and works without watching. Ozone machines are often available for rent as well as for sale.
These unique air purifiers (not air filters) are available in various sizes. They  utilize technology that propels positive and negative ions by means of electromagnetic waves and are usually totally adjustable allowing the operator to produce the amount of ozone necessary to eliminate or dramatically reduce all indoor pollutants.

Landlord testimonials

RHOL landlords report that they use an ozone generator in both vacant and occupied apartments to get rid of such common odors as pet urine and tobacco smoke. They also use it for the extreme problems from smoke  damage or the mold that can spread throughout an apartment due to an undetected water leak or in a unit that had been closed up during periods of high humidity.

Where are they found & how much do they cost?

You are not likely to find ozone generators on the shelf at your local hardware or building center, but you can order them through most maintenance supply companies. C heck your catalogues under "air cleaning" or "ozone".
If you are a small landlord, you won't need to use the machine very often so you may want to rent one at a local tool rental outlet.
Some local rental housing associations are now buying a machine to make available to members, either as a service or an additional revenue generator for the club.
